Most protagonists in post-apocalyptic fiction end up trying to save the world (see First Activation), so this was a really unique - and far more plausible - idea.īut in truth I didn't really enjoy it. I had so wanted to enjoy this book as the blurb made it sound like a really original idea - someone who deals with being alone following an extinction event by sticking to a normal routine to stave off madness.
